We drove okay - not terrible, but not amazing either, but after the pit stop the race ended quite quickly for us.
[The marshals] came out, they pushed me and were very pleased with themselves. They noted this, pushed me and said: Come on, go ahead, the race is not over yet!
At such a moment you don`t actually think, you don`t care, you just continue and deal with the consequences later, " said the German racer.
Nico also summed up the stage for Haas - the team did not earn a single point:
The conditions were some of the toughest I`ve ever had in a race. Incredibly low levels of grip and a very, very narrow operating window. It was very difficult not to make mistakes.
You just have to start over. It`s a very dark weekend for us, we`ve made a lot of bad decisions for one reason or another - we just need to bounce back.
