Soccer stats Bayern again punished RB Salzburg and flew into the 1/8 finals

The current champion in the Champions League Bayern (Munich) skipped his group `A` without any difficulties and will continue to defend his trophy in the 1/8 finals. Tonight, the Germans recorded their fourth consecutive victory on their account, after again beating RB Salzburg with 3:1 at their `Allianz Arena`. The visitors were pretty good, especially in the first half, but did not take advantage of their position, while the Bavarians were ruthless in front and with goals from Robert Lewandowski in the 43rd, Kingsy Coman in the 53rd and Leroy Sane in the 68th minutethey took theirs. The Austrians still reached an honorable goal, and its author was Mergim Berisha in the 73rd minute. Bayern had the first goal opportunity of the match in the 8th minute when Serge Gnabri shot from a distance over the door. After that, however, the guests missed several good positions. In the 15th minute a blunder in the home team`s defense allowed a counterattack, first Mergim Berisha fo und himself in a goal position, but failed to overcome Manuel Neuer, and then in an attempt to add Enoch Muepu shot weakly and allowed the goalkeeperto catch. Just two minutes later, Berisha shot his head close to the door. However, the biggest pass for the Austrians was made by Dominique Soboslay in the 36th minute, when he was face to face with Neuer, but failed to score.

Thus, at the end of the half, the old football maxim was confirmed that when you don`t score, you will be scored. Thomas Mueller made a strong shot, which made it difficult for the goalkeeper, and in the close pass Robert Lewandowski opened the score in favor of Bayern. At the beginning of the second half the hosts doubled their lead. In the 53rd minute Kingsley Koman released in front of the penalty area and shot, rebounding and the ball was in the net for 2:0. In the 66th minute, the Bavarians remained in a reduced squad after Mark Rocareckless foul and received a second yellow and red card. However, they scored a third goal in the 68th minute. Koman centered for Sane, who scored with a header for 3:0.

Although this goal practically decided everything in the match, the guests continued to play for their honor and in the 70th minute were close to scoring, but ontwice Neuer made brilliant saves after close shots at Berisha and Muepu. However, the Austrians managed to score an honorable goal in the 73rd minute. Soboslai sent a great pass behind the defense for Berisha, who was close for 3:1.

The guests could have scored a second goal in the 84th minute, but again Neuer saved a shot by Luka Suchic. In the end, the match ended with a success for Bayern and he secured a place forward in the tournament adviced by soccer-stats and first place in the group. RB Salzburg remains in last place with 1 point and quite illusory chances to move forward.
